Configuration

Type

Type of Qtechnology camera

Currently Oculus Vis-SWIR (Hypervision 1700 - IMX990) is the only available type of camera.

Future release of Breeze will include Oculus Vis-NIR (Hypervision 1000 - GSENSE) cameras.

Network Adapter IP

Set the IP address of the camera device

If using ETH-B NIC the default address is 10.100.10.100

ETH-A is configured for DHCP, making it compatible with any network running a DHCP server. Note that you'll need to manually identify the assigned IP address.

Pixel format (Advanced)

Set camera pixel format.

  • Byte

    • 8-bit data

The 8-bit mode is a high-sensitivity mode, providing increased sensitivity at the cost of higher noise levels. Further details are available in the Qtec documentation.

  • Short

    • 16-bit data

12-bit value left-shifted by 4 bits, resulting in values that increment in steps of 16.

Only available prior to connecting the camera

Spectral ROI (Advanced)

Select spectral bands to include in images. When selecting which bands are to be included the camera may adjust specific selection is some combination are not allowed.

Vertical binning (Advanced)

Bin spectral data with specified factor.

Horizontal binning (Advanced)

Bin spatial data with specified factor.

Horizontal cropping (Advanced)

Set horizontal cropping (spatial) interval, useful for trimming edges. Set start pixel and end pixel value.

Additional configuration

Enabling Jumbo Frames

For optimal performance it is recommended to use Ethernet package sizes (MTU) which are larger than 1500 bytes. Recommended package size is ~9000 bytes or higher depending on the support of the used network controller. Your whole network infrastructure e.g. switches should support this Ethernet package size.

Maximizing the "Receive Buffer" size

Applicable in Windows

It is recommended to set the receive buffer size (so-called receive descriptors) of the network card to its maximum value. Note that not all network cards provide this option.
